The Tokugawa clan ruled Japan during the long period of peace known as the Edo period, established under Tokugawa Ieyasu. Besides unifying Japan for close to 265 years, they also helped formalize and stabilize the values of Bushido into a structured social order for samurai and society, close to what we know today.

They embodied restraint, prudence, stability and authority, shown through avoiding unnecessary displays of strength, preferring indirect governance with layered administration and structure, and intentionally presenting rule as predictable, disciplined, and enduring.

Wrap yourself in the Tokugawa values with our comfortable cotton hoodie. The brushed interior and roomy kangaroo pocket make it a cozy layer for cooler days. The regular fit and ribbed cuffs keep the silhouette familiar while the printed motif gives your outfit a quietly intentional edge.
